Today the Cantal massif is a paradise for hikers. Remarkable wildlife, amazing landscapes as far as the eye can see... With the hotel as a starting point, you're just spoiled for choice! We will be happy to show you different itineraries, depending on your taste.

Every Spring you can observe an extremely rich flora on Europe's largest volcano (especially in May and June), and then thousands of Salers and Aubrac cows grazing in the mountain pastures.

Bird and wildlife watching is possible (www.lpo-auvergne.org) all year round. You can then see deer, does and roe deer, especially in autumn when you can hear rutting stags.
